Stonewall Columbus Celebrates 27 Years!

Dear Friends of Stonewall,

This year marks the 27th Anniversary for Stonewall Columbus and we are proud to bring you this directory!  After twenty-four years, the Lavender Listings remains an important publication in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community of Central Ohio.  Stonewall Columbus is proud to present one of the most useful resources for the community.  The Lavender Listings serves as a model for many other cities; however, Columbus remains one of the few cities to produce its own GLBT business directory. The revenue generated from this project goes directly back to serving and meeting the needs of the local GLBT community center, the Center on High and our programs.  We want to thank the incredible partners in this endeavor: our generous advertisers, volunteers, and the remarkable staff. 

Welcome to the 2008 – 2009 annual edition of Stonewall Columbus’ Lavender Listings.  Again this year, we are proud to present a colorful directory that we hope will entice more people throughout the year to pick it up and use it often. The Lavender Listings online directory has increased in popularity after being introduced in 2007.  Our website currently receives over 3000 unique visitors a month. This organization is committed to improving its online presence which will continue to increase traffic to Lavender Listings and subsequently, your businesses. Stonewall was fortunate to be granted a YouTube channel which will be a significant resource for our advertisers. The ability to interview you as a business owner and highlight your office or product will be an additional avenue for your company to gain exposure with the GLBT community in the very near future. 

Since 1984, this publication has grown from a 24-page booklet 50 advertisers to the current Lavender Listings which is a 90+ page publication with more than 300 businesses and organizations listed.  Successful businesses make great cities and your support of this publication reinforces the fact that Columbus, Ohio is one of the best cities to work, play and raise our LGBT families.
